After thinking about it for the past three months, I threw my hat into the ring today for a second term on the Dayton City Council.  The term is four years, and of the four City Council seats, two are up this year (mine, and Kevin Anderson's).  The Mayor position is also up this year (its a two year term).  As of today (Thur, May 27) only the three incumbents have registered, but I DO expect  others to join in.  The deadline is 5:00 PM on June 1 (I think, don't quote me).

I decided to run again because I actually enjoy doing the work of the City.  I have met SO many people that I would not have otherwise met.  I have learned so much about how the system works (or in some cases, doesn't).  And I realize now how much I know now, but didn't know four years ago.  I feel that with that experience I can hit the ground running with whatever council gets elected this fall.

There is much to talk about.  I JUST got this web site up and running again.  This time I'm trying to learn to do it myself, so it may take a while to get all the information I want to share up and running.  In the mean time, be sure to "friend" me on facebook, or call me at (612) 730 9312.  I will get the rest of my site up and running ASAP, but while I do that, please be sure to invite me to your graduation parties, or fourth of July parties, or pretty much any party.....I like parties.  I hope to meet each and every resident of Dayton before this summer is up.
